Thrive is a therapeutic hub for individuals, groups and organizations. Thrive Therapy & Consultation focuses on holistic experiences, involving physical, psychological, social and spiritual practices for both individuals and organizations to renew. We are a collaborative business with several registerd therapists who are committed to providing excellent services to help people reach their fullest potential. Utilizing an eclectic therapeutic style founded in Existential Analysis, Narrative Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy, Thrive can tailor individual counselling, couples or family counselling, team building, staff training and emotionally engaged workshops to best suit your needs. We are passionate, engaged and ready to dream with you.

The educational background in psychology, gender studies, familiarity in mindfulness, holistic healthy and experience in crisis and existential analysis, Thrive is here to collaboratively create an individualized vision that will inspire you to greater changer. If you are unable to attend an appoint, we request that you provide at least 24 hours notice. Since we are unable to use this time for another client, please note that you will be billed for the entire cost of your scheduled appointment if it is not timely cancelled, unless due to illness or emergency. We appreciate your help in keeping Thrive’s schedule running efficiently.
Patient Rights & Responsibilities
The following specifies your rights as a participant of Thrive Therapy & Consultation.
1. Tell your therapist if you don’t understand a process and they will clarify it for you.
2. You have the right to be treated fairly, honestly and respectfully with regard to your race, culture, gender, age, ability, sexual orientation, spiritual or political beliefs.
3. You have the right to be considered the expert in your own life experience.
4. You have the right to revoke or cancel consent for therapeutic services at any time.
5. You have the responsibility to inform your counsellor of any medical condition, disability or cultural need that requires our awareness or accommodation in providing service.
6. You have the responsibility to treat others with fairness, honesty and respect.
Limits of Services & Assumption of Risks
Therapy sessions carry both benefits and risks. Therapy sessions can significantly reduce the amount of distress someone is feeling, improve relationships, and/or resolve other specific issues. However, these improvements and any “cures” cannot be guaranteed for any condition due to the many variables that affect these therapy sessions. Experiencing uncomfortable feelings, discussing unpleasant situations and/or aspects of your life are considered risks of therapy sessions.
All notes are kept secure and confidential. Non-identifying information may be shared with other mental health professionals’ for case management and quality assurance. Information or records may only be released to an external person with your written and informed consent, or as required by court order. All clients in a counselling session are entitled to access the clinical record of the session. Limits of confidentiality are based on a duty to protect to report actual or suspected child abuse and to do what is necessary by professional standards to protect life when there is danger to self or others.
